Aundha Nagnath — the 8th Jyotirlinga on the sacred list — is one of India's most spiritually powerful yet crowd-free Shiva shrines. Located in Hingoli district of Marathwada, 265 km from Shirdi, Aundha is the Jyotirlinga most serious Shiv bhakts complete their circuit with, precisely because the modest crowds allow uninterrupted, meditative darshan.
The 12th-century temple was built by the Yadava dynasty in the same architectural school as Kashi Vishwanath and Somnath — a hexagonal sanctum with intricately carved outer walls. For Sai devotees who have already done Shirdi darshan, a dedicated Aundha Nagnath trip is a rare spiritual investment.
Sai Cabs is one of the few Shirdi operators who run this route regularly — our Marathwada-experienced drivers know the Purna river bridge (which occasionally closes during heavy monsoon), the Hingoli town fuel stop, and the temple's dharamshala for overnight halts. Fixed fare ₹6,800 for sedan round trip (2 days), or ₹5,500 one-way to Aundha with a Nanded drop.
The drive from Shirdi takes NH160 to Ahmednagar, then SH60 to Pathardi and Georai, joining NH222 towards Beed. From Beed the route continues on SH24 to Parbhani, then a final 40 km to Aundha Nagnath temple in Hingoli district.
Total driving is 265 km with two toll plazas — included in the fare. The last 60 km (Parbhani to Aundha) is state highway with modest traffic, adding scenic Marathwada countryside — cotton fields, sugarcane, and small farming villages.

265 km via Ahmednagar, Beed and Parbhani. Driving time is 5.5 to 6 hours one-way. Most pilgrims opt for a 2-day trip with one night halt at Parbhani or the temple dharamshala.
It is possible but not recommended — 530 km driving in one day is exhausting. Same-day fare is ₹8,500 sedan (14–15 hours total). We advise a 2-day trip at ₹6,800 with a peaceful overnight halt.
The temple has a clean dharamshala (₹300/room, walk-in). For hotel comfort, we recommend Hotel Green Park Parbhani (₹1,500) or Aundha's basic lodges (₹800). We coordinate the booking free of cost.
